So as our quest (myself and Tom Deakin) continues to find new ways of trying to pull our members and their parents together, and also raise some much needed funds for the club, we have decided to do something different this year. We will not be having a bonfire due to the lack of interest and only a handful of helpers. This year we are going to launch our ‘Sting Festive Fair’ which will take place on Monday 28th December at the Farm. All teams will be required to put a stall together and provide either food, crafts, refreshments, or a christmas themed stall throughout the whole event, and make sure that they have a rota in place to cover the stall throughout the day. The NIHL team will be running a bar, with mulled wine, craft beers, wines, champagne and cidres. Deakins Butchers will be providing a Festive meat stall, and there will be a specialty pie stall. So already we have 3 stalls covered, with a stall from every other team, we should ensure that the event is a massive success. All team managers should discuss this event with their team and get them involved in deciding what their theme will be, there will be a prize for the team who raises the most money for the club, and there will also be a prize for the best visually presented stall. Can all Managers contact me via email to confirm what type of stall they will be presenting, I can then notify everyone to make sure that all the stalls are doing something different. Commercial stalls shall also be available for any small business or retailers who want to support the event, these will be priced at £30.00 per stall.
