It continues to be a hectic summer for Sutton Sting as the club is re-structured while maintaining a packed programme of player development initiatives and introducing new elements to the club’s membership.

A major element of the re-structure is a new look for all the Club teams with the introduction of the 10th Anniversary shirt which will be unveiled at a special Shirt Launch event at Lammas on Friday 14th August 2015 commencing at 9:00pm.

The new shirt has been designed and produced by Jersey 53 who produced the Sting NIHL white jersey for last season and work started on the design of the new shirt back in February. Along with a special 10th Anniversary logo, the new shirt will also include logo’s for a number of new Club Sponsors which marks a return to corporate identities being carried on the Sting shirts for the first time in more than 3 years.

In addition to the unveiling of the new Club shirt and with the appointment of Matt Darlow as the Club Head Coach, the Club had a vacancy to fill with the Sting’s NIHL team Head Coach role. Club Chairman Ian Johnson appointed Jon Ross to be the new NIHL Team Coach with Dean Smith in the Assistant role. Jon and Dean have been working hard over the summer to build a team for the 2015/16 season and with the EIHA’s introduction of a new Under 20 League, Sutton Sting has even more opportunities for players to play competitive ice hockey while developing a player pathway to senior hockey.

With the NIHL team re-building almost complete the shirt launch event on Friday 14th August will also see the unveiling of the 2015/16 Sutton Sting NIHL team which is being held at Lammas for the first time.

The evening will commence at 9:00pm with the, introduction of new team Sponsors and unveiling of the 2015/16 shirt. Then the introduction of the NIHL team and team photo.

Any members who placed their shirt orders by the first order deadline will receive their 2015/16 match shirt at the Shirt Launch and will get the chance to skate on the ice with the Sting’s senior team.
