Safeguarding in Hockey

Sutton Sting has adopted the EIHA Child Protection Policy in full and all of the Club's Coaching Staff and Team Managers have agreed to be bound by the EIHA Code of Conduct for 2015/16

The Club takes the issues surrounding SAFEGUARDING the well-being of children and vulnerable adults very seriously and have appointed a Child Welfare Officer to act for the benefit of the Club and it's members where such matters are concerned. The current Club Welfare Officer is Michael Spencer who is also a member of Sutton Sting Executive Group.

A Level 2 ice hockey coach with special expertise in Safeguarding Children and Young People Michael can be contacted in confidence by email to He has two son's playing at the Club and can be seen on most training nights at Lammas or Ice Sheffield.

Any person with any issues, concerns or complaints regarding the safety, protection or well-being of any member of Sutton Sting should make contact with Michael in total confidence.
