Covid update

To our Sting family

First and foremost we hope that you are all well and keeping safe as we continue to make our way through these extraordinary times.

We want to keep you updated the best we can to when hockey will resume and this is where we are at right now.

As I am sure you are aware ice rinks are still closed, we do not have a time frame for when they will reopen, this will be led through government guidance and individual local authorities.

We have not yet been given any guidance to what training or games will look like when, and if, they start again this season. We do know however that there will need to be safety procedures in place to ensure it is as safe as possible for everyone involved.

This is the situation with every hockey club across the country. We are aware that there are clubs who are currently making players offers and saying what they foresee hockey will look like in the future, but this is just guess work. Sutton Sting cannot plan anything at this moment in time until we know what the governments next steps are.

Until we are in position to start making the plans we are looking for an expression of interest as to who is interested in re-signing for Sutton Sting from our current members. Chat rooms for each age group have been created for you to do this, if you do not have access to your correct age group please apply for access via team app.

In the meantime coaches have asked me pass on one little bit of advice, get out there and be active, keep fit and healthy so that when we can welcome you back your fitness levels are ready to hit the ice again.

Take care, keep safe.
