Coronavirus

Dear All,
Sutton Sting IHC is committed to taking proactive and preventative steps to help stop the spread of Coronavirus within our community. We will be training and playing games as usual currently.
Could we ask that you help us by washing hands before you come to training and afterwards and we ask players not to share water bottles. If you’re going to cough or sneeze on the ice, we ask players to do this into their elbows and away from other players. Off the ice do it into a paper hanky and discard it properly
As from last weekend we will continue to not shake hands with the away team and officials at matches but fist bump.
However outside of any mandatory isolation procedures, we respect the position any player and their family may take to protect themselves, and we ask is that you advise us asap if players are not able to participate for any reason.
As the Coronavirus is now declared a Pandemic and following Public Health information issued yesterday anyone who has a newly developed continuous, persistent cough and /or is running a high temperature (of 37.8C /100F or more) should stay at home for a minimum of 7 days and please do keep away from hockey until those symptoms have cleared.
We will also be guided by advice from our official regulatory body EIHA.
As you will have seen this is a quickly developing position and subject to change at very short notice.
We thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
We will keep you updated if any of the guidelines change and If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact myself or your coach.
