Sutton Sting is extremely proud to announce that Melissa Veal, who plays in the clubs’ Under 13’s team, has been selected for the England Under 14 girls 2017/18 Ice Hockey team. Melissa has played more than 50 competitive games since starting playing for the Sutton based club in 2015 and now gets the opportunity to train alongside the best in the UK in preparation for competition against teams from the rest of the world. Alison Frost, General Manager of Sutton Sting, said today “Making a England team at such a young age is quite an achievement. Melissa shows great dedication and it’s fantastic to see all that hard work pay off. She will now get the opportunity to train with national coaches alongside the best talent in the country and that can only be good for her and for our club. We are very proud”.
